Hello! The person I am going to talk about is a professor at the faculty of chemical and pharmaceutical sciences, her name is Gabriela Valenzuela, she has a degree in pharmaceutical sciences and has a doctorate in pharmaceutical sciences, she has a lot of knowledge about natural products and botany, all obviously related to medicines. I admire this person because she is an excellent teacher, she inspires you, motivates you and it shows a lot that she likes her work, she even invited us to visit the faculty natural products laboratory, which is wonderful. Regarding contributing, I see it in a more personal way, since when I had classes with her, I was amazed at everything she told us, as I said before, she inspired me. I think she contributed positively to all of us who were present in her class, I think that as a teacher she already making a great contribution, because she is teaching us, sharing her knowledge and also her experiences about the career of chemistry and pharmacy. Thanks ...

Hello,  I believe that the profession of chemistry and pharmacy is very important for the world, if there were no pharmaceutical chemists, there would be no medicines, there would be many diseases without some type of treatment that involves medicines.   I can see myself helping others, contributing to the world with my knowledge of chemistry and pharmacy, perhaps creating new drugs for diseases that have no cure.   I believe that chemistry and pharmacy help complement other health careers, it brings many valuable things, it also has a fairly high degree of responsibility, because if some type of medicine is done wrong, that can affect many people and can be very risky.   For the same reason, when contributing many good things, you also have to have a lot of knowledge and do things right, depending on the area in which you are. But in spite of everything, I still think that chemistry and pharmacy are very important for the world.  Thanks for readin...

Hello, today I will write about the following photo: That photo means a lot to me, I can see joy, fun, laughter and happiness, I chose this photo because, there appears the whole family on Dad´s side, which is very significant for me.  Well, the story behind this photo is that with my family we planned a trip to the south of Chile (Coñaripe, Región de los Ríos) about three months before so that everyone could be programmed. Getting to know a part of south Chile was our dream and it came true, we really enjoy these days. That specific day we went to a waterfall called "salto mili mili", I think it is already understood because the photo looks like this, we were all wet by the waterfall and with the cameras tarnished, apart from it was very cold, but the most important thing is that the laughter was not lacking. Hi, I think my favourite piece of technology is the scientific calculator, because it make your life much easier. The scientific calculator has many great functions that help you do calculations faster and easier, I honestly can´t imagine solving a difficult exercise that requires a lot of calculations only with pencil, paper and my mind. If the scientific calculator did not exist, I think we would spend hours and hours trying to get a result of some complex exercise. That´s why I recommend using a scientific calculator 100%, especially at university, not so much at school since there we solve more "easy" calculations, besides I remember that in my school they hardly allowed me to use my calculator at all. Finally, one piece of advice I would give to those who are starting to use a scientific calculator is to learn how to use it well, since it has many functions that could help you a lot and you don´t know it. Thanks for reading. Cheers.

Hello!   When I was little I wanted to work as a doctor or chef, the truth is that I don't remember much, but I always played that, so I guess I wanted to work on that.   Other options I had were medicine or maybe something related to drawing or designing things, but then it gave me a cartoonist lock and I had to think about other options, so researched and found the career I currently study, which is chemistry and pharmacy, what made me decide on that career was that first of all I love chemistry, even if it is difficult and, secondly, because it has a lot of work field.   Finally, my experience so far has been good, regarding the academic I have to recognize that if it has been quite stressful, but I have managed to face it and with respect to the social, I have met people in my own situation and we understand each other very well, we support each other in my group.   Thanks for reading. Best regards.

Hello! One day in 2003, Melisa Contreras was born in the hospital "San Juan de Dios", currently lives in Isla de Maipo, Santiago, where she has lived all her life. She studies chemistry and pharmacy in the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical sciences in the Universidad de Chile. Melisa really likes to listen to music, especially music in english and loves his Edu dog very much. She lives with her mom Patricia and dad Juan, but has a big brother called Felix, who doesn´t live with her. Finally, she love her hometown (Isla de Maipo), because there are lot of trees, the air is clean and it´s a safe and small town, the only bad thing she find, is that is far from his faculty and that the bus passes every half hour. Thanks you for reading. Best regards!
